The Skinny: “Over the past year I have enjoyed many dinners with amazing dishes, but the one meal and dish that stands out is the Peking duck at Shanghai Terrace. I am fond of this dish and have enjoyed it all over Chicago, but at Shanghai it was prepared, accompanied and flawlessly presented. Our first course of assorted dumplings with explosive flavors was a great start and the vibrant green and crunchy Asian vegetables that we requested to accompany the duck were perfect. My wife and Coco Pazzo Wine Director, Tamra, selected a bottle of Robert Weil Riesling which was an excellent pair with the meal. The room is gentle and elegant, the service is formal, knowledgeable and accommodating while the crowd is interesting and eclectic. Desserts were also outstanding.”
