The spec sheet illustrates the small-shop quality with stainless-steel frets, Gotoh hardware, Bare Knuckle pickups and CTS and Switchcraft electronics. All par for the ‘boutique’ course. PJD, however, came to our attention via an unusual spin, as the Hybrid range adds a satin acrylic top (and fingerboard inlays), from a choice of some 30 colours. Meanwhile, the “option for design, etchings and inlays are virtually limitless”. Intriguing.

The result, for equipment rental stores, is the opportunity to increase equipment utilization and better meet customer needs.

To start us off, Jaime Laurita picked Club Lucky (“I dream about this place at home,” he revealed). Comforting dumplings, noodles and gnocchi were trends this year in several chef picks. It’s all good. From ramen (High Five Ramen) to crab legs (Half Shell) and everything in between, there’s something in this list for everyone.

Product Manager Matthew McLean describes Dig Assist as “an intuitive control system allowing easy input of job specifications and tracking of progress along the way.” One goal, says McLean, is to ensure the job is done right the first time. Another is to reduce some site prep, such as staking, by up to 50 percent. Overall, Dig Assist can provide up to 25 percent productivity gains. Jedrzejczyk could have taken the 4th I guess, but a solid fight from Shevchenko overall and she gets an interview. She says she’s been working for this for a long time, calls over her sister to stand with her and puts over her entire team for all the work they’ve done to get her to this point. She thanks everyone who has been a part of her journey to this moment, thanks her native Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Peru. Asked about her conditioning she puts over Jedrzejczyk for being a professional and ensuring the fight would take place and she’s honored to have won the title against an opponent of Jedrzejczyk’s caliber. She speaks Spanish to her friends and family in Peru, then does her own translation to Russian for her fans in that part of the world. That is a ridiculously talented woman.

An hour later, Roy sends his article back to the Farm, clasping his hands in mock prayer. His chest scars are itching again, so he bites his tongue to distract himself. Maybe he’ll grab lunch at that new Uzbek taco joint.

The Skinny: “It was simple and amazing! Really great meal, their food is vegetable-focused — and though I’m far from a vegetarian, it’s nice to eat a great veg-forward meal. It was a great meal from start to finish, and we enjoyed the atmosphere and music. I went with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary.”
